CELESTRON CGX-L 1100 EDGE HD 11 Celestron CGX-L 1100 EdgeHD 11" Telescope The Edge HD 1100 telescope uses flatbed Schmidt-Cassegrain Edge HD optics corrected to the diffraction limit.

The Edge HD optical system combines the famous Schmidt-Cassegrain compactness with newly developed high-definition optics, allowing you to obtain wide-field images in typical astronomer quality.

When used visually, Edge HD optics provide pinpoint star images right to the edge of the field, even with ultra-wide-angle 2-inch eyepieces.

When used for astrophotography, EdgeHD optics produce aberration-free images across the entire sensor range of CCD or DSLR cameras, even in full frame format.

All EdgeHD optics have been designed to produce a very flat focal plane, generating perfectly focused star images right up to the extreme edge of the sensor.

The Edge HD 1100 is suitable for both visual and photographic use, and has been designed to be modular, being able to operate optimally in the 560-12000mm focal length range (with optional accessories, also produced by third parties).

The XLT optical treatment improves the brightness of the optics, and also offers very high contrast for both planets and deep sky objects.

The Edge HD are also prepared for the Fastar / Hyperstar system and are equipped with a primary mirror locking system and lateral openings with micro-filters, to accelerate the thermal balance of the optics.

The kit includes quality accessories: 9x50 mm finder, 2 ″ Luminos 23 mm eyepiece, 2 inch diagonal and dovetail for CGE / Losmandy / NEQ6.

The new Celestron CGX-L frame, with 35Kg load capacity, is a compact, ergonomic and innovative German equatorial frame; these are some of the key features that make it the flagship of the house of Celestron: Additional auxiliary ports and self-guiding port on the DEC axis for better cable management.

144 mm diameter gear rim for more precise guidance even with heavy loads 270 mm support for dovetail coupling, for better support of larger optical tubes.

Robust tripod legs in 70 mm stainless steel for better stability when working with heavy loads.

The comfortable handles on the frame and the new, even more robust tripod, combined with the ergonomic design of the accessory tray, make the CGXL frame easy and comfortable to mount.

Redesigned controls, improved materials and mechanical and electronic progress make the CGX-L the most technologically advanced Celestron mount.

The belt drive will allow you to follow it smoothly and without backlash, even with optical tubes weighing more than 30 kg, while the integrated optical sensors and internal architecture will allow you to comfortably control the mount remotely without any problems.

Finally, the ability to control the frame's forward and reverse movement allows you to move your centre of gravity as you please, allowing you to balance your weights as precisely as possible.

Internal sensors also allow you to perform remote operations on the mount without any worries, avoiding stress on the wiring and always parking with precision.

The "All-Star Polar Alignment" software allows for fast and very accurate polar alignment.

It includes the new Celestron PWI telescope control software, jointly developed by PlaneWave Instruments, essential for extremely accurate sky modelling and high pointing accuracy.

Compatible with Vixen / CG-5 and Losmandy / CGE dovetails.

The internal clock will keep the settings stored without the need to re-enter them each time the mount is connected.
