15 Shows to Watch if You Loved Game of Thrones

(Photo: Helen Sloan/HBO)

Game of Thrones did not stick the landing.

Despite all the anticipation about the eighth and final season, it was probably the worst collection of episodes on record.

Fans of the show watched their favorite characters jockey for power since 2011, yet the 2019 finale felt rushed and ill-inspired, especially in comparison to what had come before.

Despite being a major letdown, the show did prove how highly produced prestige genre television can work.

In fact, millions of people crave it. Since the next book in George R.R.

Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series is probably never coming out, and all the spin-off shows HBO had planned are now dead, fans will have to look elsewhere.

The good news is video-streaming services provide us with plenty of shows that can scratch the same itch Game of Thrones once did.

Here are a few shows available to stream right now that should keep you occupied before the next cultural phenomenon emerges.
