Alongside the fifth edition of its Community Standards Enforcement report, Instagram this week unveiled new features to help lead the fight against online bullying.
The three-pronged approach lets users manage unwanted interactions, highlight positive comments, and take control of their tags and mentions.
"We know it can feel overwhelming to manage a rush of negative comments, so we've been testing the ability to delete comments in bulk," an Instagram blog announcement said.
"As well as block or restrict multiple accounts that post negative comments."
You can enable the feature on iOS by simply tapping a comment and clicking the three-dots icon in the top right corner.
Then select "Manage Comments," choose up to 25 notes to delete at once, and let the satisfaction wash over you.
Block or restrict accounts in bulk via "More Options." To make the same changes on Android, press and hold a comment, tap the dotted icon, and choose to Block or Restrict.
"In addition to removing negative comments, we want to give people an easy way to amplify and encourage positive interactions," the social network said, teasing an upcoming test of Pinned Comments.
The feature, according to Instagram, gives folks "a way to set the tone for their account and engage with their community" by tacking some high-quality replies to the top of the thread.
Last but not least, look for new controls that allow you to manage who can tag or mention you in a comment, caption, or Story, with the options being: everyone, only people you follow, or no one at all.

"We've spent the last few years building tools, teams, and technologies to help protect elections from interference, prevent misinformation from spreading on our apps, and keep people safe from harmful content," according to Guy Rosen, vice president of Integrity at Instagram.
"Going forward, we plan to leverage technology to also take action on content, including removing more posts automatically."
