(Photo: OnePlus) The Apple Watch and Galaxy Watch are getting some fresh competition as OnePlus launches its own smartwatch along with the promise of "incredibly long battery life."
The OnePlus Watch sports a traditional round design using a 46mm case made from stainless steel and covered with a piece of 2.5D curved face glass.
OnePlus refers to this model as the Classic Edition, but it's also releasing a Cobalt Limited Edition.
It uses a cobalt alloy instead of steel, which is twice as hard as stainless steel and more resistant to corrosion.
The Limited Edition's face has also been upgraded to specially treated sapphire glass boasting a Mohs hardness rating of nine out of 10.
Details are lacking on the components OnePlus squeezed inside the Watch, but we do know there's 1GB of RAM and 4GB of storage, with 2GB available to the user.
That 2GB is enough for 500 songs, and Bluetooth makes the Watch easy to link with wireless earbuds or headphones, which allows for easy call answering when the Watch is linked to your smartphone.
OnePlus also allows the Watch to be linked to OnePlus TV to act as a smart remote.

A five-minute charge provides a day of power, whereas a 20-minute charge gets you enough juice for a week.
On a full charge, OnePlus claims two weeks of "sustainable use" is possible, or a week for "the most active users."
The Watch is clearly designed with active users in mind.
It features a 5ATM + IP68 water- and dust-resistance rating, and it supports over 110 workout types.
That includes automatic workout detection for jogging and running.
Pulse, distance, calories, speed monitoring, and SWOLF efficiency for swimmers can be monitored, and GPS allows for easy tracking of your runs.
Add to that blood oxygen saturation monitoring, stress detection, breathing training, rapid heart rate alerts, and sedentary reminders, which are all manageable through the OnePlus Health app.
