Sony today finally revealed pricing for the PlayStation 5, which will cost $499 for the standard edition and $399 for the disc-less digital model.

The console goes on sale in seven markets—including the US, Canada, and Australia—on Nov.

Pre-orders begin "as early as tomorrow at select retailers, so please check with your local retailer," Sony said today.

At $499, the PS5 is in the same price range as the Xbox Series X, which arrives on Nov.

Sony made its announcements during Wednesday’s special PS5 showcase, which debuted more footage for the games on the console.

That includes a new God of War game for the PS5, which is scheduled to arrive in 2021. It also teased Final Fantasy XVI, which is billed as a “PlayStation Console” exclusive, even though it'll also be made available on PC.

  • DualSense Wireless Controller (standalone) – $69.99

  • PULSE 3D wireless headset with 3D audio support and dual noise-cancelling microphones – $99.99

  • HD Camera with dual 1080p lenses for gamers to broadcast themselves – $59.99

  • Media Remote to navigate movies and streaming services – $29.99

  • DualSense Charging Station, which charges two DualSense Wireless Controllers –$29.99

  • Astro’s Playroom (Japan Studio) – pre-installed on PS5

A new trailer was shown fleshing out more of the story and the creepy world around this latest entry in the hit horror game series. It's coming in 2021.


Hogwarts Legacy

You’ll be able to experience the Harry Potter universe in this game, which is also arriving next year. The game itself is set in late the 1800s, and will let you to create your own character to have adventures at the famous fictional wizarding school. 


Demon's Souls

We got extensive gameplay footage for the Demon's Soul remake, which is also arriving as a PS5 launch title, but with overhauled graphics.
