The infinity objectives allow to simplify the use of the microscope with some particular techniques such as fluorescence, polarized light or others, and to obtain sharper and chromatically correct images. The lenses of these objectives focus the image of the sample to infinity and no more than 160 mm. of distance therefore the distance between objective and eyepiece can be modified without the optical resolution problems of the traditional objectives.
