MEADE LX600-ACF 16" TELESCOPE WITH STARLOCK AND MAX TRIPOD Generic description of the series All Meade ACF (comma-free) LX600-ACF f/8 series telescopes from the renowned manufacturer Meade (USA) include the StarLock system (integrated self-guiding with dual image capture as standard and permanently activated).

It also features high-precision pointing alignment facilities, with bronze bezel and aluminium crown system with very low periodic error.

The optical tubes can be easily removed from the fork for easy transport.

They include a GPS receiver, an oversized primary mirror and a borosilicate holder with a small coefficient of expansion.

The Schmidt correction plate is made of Schott® Borofloat® glass and meets the Diffraction Limited requirement.

Among other general features, Meade ACF telescopes are equipped with UHTC (Ultra High Transmission Coating) treatment and an internal Crayford focuser with a double speed focus control with 7:1 reduction power.

The optical tube also incorporates a weight balancing system.

At mount level, all Meade LX600-ACF telescopes incorporate the AUTOSTAR II control knob with a library of 144,000 stored objects, a SMART DRIVE system with Permanent Periodic Error Correction (PPEC), Meade's patented LEVEL NORTH TECHNOLOGY (LNT) alignment system, an 8x50 optical finder and AUTOSTAR SUITE software.

The LX600-ACF series has been designed to take you to the next level in both visual observation and optics.

With a fast f/8 optical system with ACF (coma correction) the LX600-ACF offers a wider and flatter field of view with point stars (due to the absence of a coma) to the outer limits of the field of view captured by the largest CCD sensors and wide field eyepieces.
